Editorial Methodology

Last updated: October 14, 2026

OffroadRigHQ publishes research-based recommendations intended to help readers narrow a shortlist. Unless a page explicitly says otherwise, our recommendations are not the result of controlled, hands-on tire testing.

How we evaluate products

We compare manufacturer specifications, fitment and load requirements, warranty terms, retailer availability, owner-reported patterns, and the needs of the vehicle and terrain covered by the page. Each recommendation page identifies its research basis, selection criteria, vehicle assumptions, important exclusions, and verified sources.

Fitment and safety

Tire fitment can change with model year, trim, wheel size, suspension, load, and other modifications. Our guidance is a starting point, not a substitute for the vehicle door placard, owner's manual, tire manufacturer guidance, or a qualified installer's inspection. Readers should confirm size, load index, speed rating, clearance, and inflation requirements before buying.

Sources and verification

We prefer primary sources for specifications and safety guidance. A source is displayed as verified only after an editor confirms that it supports the stated part of the article. Retail pricing and availability can change after our check date.

Reviews and updates

Recommendation pages display their last review date and, when scheduled, the next review date. We revisit pages when products change, availability shifts, or better evidence becomes available. Material corrections are handled under our corrections policy.

Commercial independence
